Larry Wheaton

Larry first became a Verbal Judo Instructor in 2008 and took over as our primary instructor in Canada in 2020. Larry is highly sought after due to his dry sense of humour, uniquely visual and powerful PowerPoint presentations and easy-to-understand methodology of explaining important concepts making his classes relaxed and practical. 

Larry spent seven years with the Canadian Military, five years with Law Enforcement and eight year within the EMS industry before settling down within the Private Security sector for the past fifteen years giving him a broad base of first responder experience. Larry has been featured on local Calgary news programs over the years (Global 7, CTV and CBC) commenting on security-related matters and is a member of ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security) and ILEETA (International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association). Larry currently resides in Calgary, Canada with his wife Theresa and blue heeler dog Sadie.
