Denison “Denny” Campbell has worked in Adult Corrections and Community Supervision since 2008. He has supervised housing units for custody levels ranging from Minimum to Maximum, including Restrictive Housing, Secure Mental Health, and Intake. Denny also spent 8 years as a member of the Corrections Emergency Response Team (CERT) where he was a squad leader. He has worked as a Parole Officer supervising a High Risk/Sex Offender caseload. Since 2016, Denny has overseen the training program for the Nebraska Division of Parole Supervision, where he is responsible for training and development of Parole field staff. Denny was introduced to Verbal Judo in a class taught by Ziggy and was soon certified as an internal instructor. Denny jumped into Verbal Judo with both feet because “…after 13 years in the field, someone finally showed me when to stop talking.” In addition to Verbal Judo, Denny is a certified instructor for Institutional Crisis Intervention/Conflict Resolution, Motivational Interviewing, PPCT, Effective Practices in Community Supervision (EPICS), and the Ohio Risk Assessment System (ORAS). Denny holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He is passionate about learning and development and has earned the credential of Certified Professional in Training and Development (CPTD) from the Association for Talent Development.
