Description

This course is for law enforcement professionals who have contact with the community and public. Students will learn to effectively communicate through proven methodology with the goal of generating voluntary compliance. Students will understand how this methodology and associated skills increase professional safety, gain enhanced professionalism, decrease complaints and vicarious liability, and lessen stress on the job and at home.

Under the instruction provided by a qualified instructor(s) each student will acheive the following learning outcomes:

  • Learn how to effectively communicate through use of Verbal Judo language and techniques
  • Understand how Verbal Judo can de-escalate a situation and generate voluntary compliance
  • Be able to use the skills learned in the class in their professional and personal lives

Certified in California and Michigan

 

Prerequisites

Public safety employees including dispatchers, officers, records, crime analysis, etc.
