First of all I would like to thank you and for the opportunity to attend this training. The training and experience listening to Dr. Rhino was beyond my expectations. Training like this makes my job more enjoyable and focused on the importance of my daily duties as a front line patrol Officer. Please do what you can to bring Doc. Rhino back. Dear Chief,

I would like to thank you for allowing me to attend this training. It is fantastic training and everyone who deals with the public should be required to attend a training seminar like this. Especially law enforcement. I only wish I would have attended a course like this when I first started back in 1995. Everything Mr. Thompson taught makes sense and is very valuable to me and will help me to be a better officer and trainer. A course like this should be mandatory in the academy. In the academy we were taught to control the situation with commands for the most part. The way to control people is the way Mr. Thompson teaches. There’s no doubt I’ll use Mr. Thompson’s techniques for the rest of my career.

Using this training last night for secondary employment in Fonda,  I was investigating a theft that occurred while I was gone. I brought a person of interest in for an interview.  Within 8 minutes I had a confession to the theft as well as his accomplices. I know it might not work this well all the time but needless to say I am more than impressed.

I have been waiting for ten years to attend this course. Thank you for the opportunity! The course was excellent and I believe every one of our officers should attend it. The course is designed to teach us to show respect when we are speaking with people (which is lost on a lot of officers), yet maintain control of any given situation, generate voluntary compliance, and stay safe. What is more important than that in the law enforcement world? We are definitely in a “business” and our “customers” deserve to be treated with respect. An officer that treats someone poorly represents not only themselves, but the entire law enforcement community. Law enforcement is a communication business and some officers just do not communicate with people well. This course gives us all some crucial tools to effectively communicate with those that we come into contact with. The more officers that are utilizing these methods, the easier it is going to be for every other officer to do their jobs. The course is vital and I will endorse it completely!
